A LIGHT-FILLED COASTAL REFRESH AT SWELL RESORT - Interior Design Burleigh

This full interior refurbishment transformed a tired, dark apartment into a relaxed coastal retreat. A dual-purpose space serving as both an Airbnb rental and personal holiday home. Elizabeth May Design reimagined the kitchen, replaced all flooring, introduced soft window treatments, and styled every detail to create a warm, inviting atmosphere that feels easy, elegant, and distinctly Australian.

Natural Flow & Function

We redesigned the kitchen for improved functionality and visual flow, then carried new flooring throughout the space to add warmth and cohesion. Soft window furnishings helped filter the light and set the relaxed tone for the home

Coastal Calm With a Personal Twist

The furniture and styling palette was layered with natural textures, clean lines, and soft, airy tones. A subtle thread of green was carried through artwork, upholstery, and decor for a calm, cohesive feel.

Tailored for Everyday Escape

Every piece from indoor tables to outdoor loungers, was chosen for comfort, durability, and timeless appeal. Whether for guests or the owners themselves, the home is now ready to welcome with ease.

Elizabeth May is such a talented interior designer, I had the pleasure of working with her on our recent house in Tallebudgera. Her eye for detail and texture does not go un noticed in our interiors and soft furnishings. Lizzy is such a delightful lady and always responds promptly! I love all of our furniture choices and could not be happier with how our house has turned out.
