Set against the laid-back backdrop of Byron Bay, this commercial interior project called for a calm, contemporary space that would feel welcoming and effortlessly stylish, all within a tight budget. Working with an existing brick and concrete shell, we embraced simplicity and texture to create a soothing salon environment that speaks to its coastal setting without feeling overdesigned.
Softened Industrial Foundations
Whitewashed brick walls and polished concrete floors kept the space grounded, while adding brightness and visual calm. A simple backdrop that allowed natural materials and soft tones to shine.
Clean Lines, Coastal Warmth
Plywood joinery was chosen for its warmth, texture, and affordability, adding a tactile layer to the otherwise minimalist space. The clean detailing created a calm, curated atmosphere.
Subtle Colour & Artful Touches
Blush pink and matte black accents brought a sense of balance and femininity, while large-format photographic artwork gave the salon a contemporary, beachy edge, aligning perfectly with the Byron Bay vibe.
