Space Planning is a key element of any interior design process in order to design a space that is functionally aligned with how the interior space is to be used. Consultation and analysis of the interior spaces are vital to planning well the eventual area zones and how these zones will be used. This includes looking at how people move through and use an area, the furnishings and furniture, and even natural elements such as light, sound and views.
In order to understand who will be using the space and how the space will be used, we need to break down the interior spaces and analyse the area into use zones. This typically involves consultation and meetings to work with you and any other relevant stakeholders in identifying the potential scenarios and use cases. The more information we have, the more accurate the analysis and modelling to be able to deliver a well panned out interior space.
Once we have a more complete understanding of the area zones and use case we can begin the space planning process creating or working with any technical drawings for precision planning. We will work back and forth with you to fine-tune the space planning design to a finished working model.
With the space planning design complete, we are then able to help you with any concept designs or in moving into any new phases of the project. Whether this is working with you to develop interior concept designs, selection of paint colours, property styling, or sourcing furnishings and other design elements. We’ve worked on a number of residential and commercial projects where technical analysis and space planning was a fundamental part of the overall design process.

Then in my early teenage years I was constantly rearranging rooms wherever I went, I didn’t know then that these were signs of my passion today
I gained an advanced diploma in Interior Design from the Tafe Design Centre Enmore and then invested 13 years working with Sydney-based design firms before starting my own practice in 2013

I’ve developed a relaxed organic style where I love to combine texture with clean lines to create spaces that have warmth and character.
"Liz was amazing from start to finish. I find home decorating quite overwhelming, but she presented me with enough ideas to get my creative juices flowing. She stuck to the brief but added her own personal flair to them which really brought the house to life, and worked seamlessly with my builder which was such a relief!"
